"The villa was founded immediately following the Bar Kokhba revold (mid 2nd-century AD), when the countryside surrounding Aelia Capitolina (Jerusalem) prospered and roads, farms and villas were under construction. The floors of the villa were decorated with colorful mosaics and the walls and ceilings were covered with frescoes and stucco. The rooms included a triclinium, an adjoining room and a hallway. The triclinium mosaic was fairly well preserved with depictions of sea motifs that included, among other subjects, ichthyocentaurs, surrounded by fish, Medusa heads, nereids and dolhpins. "

"Parts of two bath houses were uncovered. One was probably only for public use and it contained two rectangular rooms; a third circular room contained a well-preserved mosaic floor with a "Star of David" motif. " (Archaeological Encyclopedia of the Holy Land)
